A gender apartheid is unfolding in Afghanistan. Since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan three years ago, access to education for women and girls has been completely stripped away, their movements outside the home limited, and a strict dress code imposed. Now, a new ‘Vice and Virtue Order’ has been introduced banning women’s voices from being heard in public. Womankind is working with three women’s rights organisations in Afghanistan to help sustain the women’s movement. We cannot allow d
