Our third graders recently participated in an Ellis Island simulation to explore the great wave of European immigration to the United States around the turn of the 20th century. 🚢 Along with discovering how different cultures and occupations contributed to the growth of the United States, students learned about the hardships that immigrants had fled from and the challenges and opportunities they faced upon arrival. 🚂 | Sayre School
