This week's AIG British Women’s Open at Carnoustie will be the most lucrative tournament in female golf with the prize fund increased by $1.3 million to $5.8 million, organisers said on Wednesday.

The purse for the AIG Women's British Open has tripled since before the R&A and AIG first partnered in 2019. The 2025 prize fund of $9.75 million is up $250,000 from last year.
